The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Graphic Designer to join a high-performing Customer & Stakeholder Management team on a 12-month temporary contract, with the possibility of a further 12-month extension.

In this role, you will play a key role in developing creative visual communications that support major infrastructure programs and community engagement initiatives. Working closely with communications professionals, project teams and senior stakeholders, you'll transform complex information into engaging, accessible and visually compelling content across a wide range of digital and print platforms.

Following an initial probation period, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design engaging print and digital communication materials
  • Produce videos, publications, presentations and social media content
  • Develop creative solutions for stakeholder and community engagement
  • Ensure all communications align with corporate branding guidelines
  • Provide expert design advice to internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate external creative suppliers and production partners
  • Manage multiple projects while meeting competing deadlines
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of design services and visual communication standards
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality communication outcomes

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience as a Graphic Designer, Visual Designer or Creative Designer
  • Advanced skills using Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere Pro
  • Experience producing high-quality digital, print and multimedia content
  • Strong understanding of branding, visual identity and corporate style guides
  • Ability to translate technical or complex information into engaging visual communications
  • Excellent project management, organisational and time management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of accessibility requirements, including WCAG and accessible document design
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Highly regarded:

  • Minimum five years' professional graphic design experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design or a related discipline
  • Experience within a large corporate or government environment
  • Knowledge of Queensland Government processes and branding standards
